Erhard Dahm, who emigrated from Germany in 1958, built a family business from his start in gas and repair stations.

Between 1960 and 1962, Dahm opened two gas and repair stations in metro Detroit. The first Erhard BMW opened in 1964.

Erhard BMW moved to Maple and Telegraph location in 1987 where before it turned into a dealership, the location was a bowling alley and a Chinese restaurant.

Erhard BMW of Bloomfield Hills has become a staple of the community at Maple and Telegraph in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. The full-service dealership's sister location Erhard BMW of Farmington Hills opened in 2003 in Farmington Hills and just two blocks down the road the Land Rover Center. Land Rover Farmington HIlls, which opened in 1997 in Farmington Hills. In addition the group expanded to open AutoMark Collision Center 2004 which is also located in Farmington Hills.

Customer, community connections.

Erhard BMW stays connected with its customers in the ways customers prefer, whether it's email, texting or over the phone.

Before he retired, Dahm was always involved in the business; he could often be found in the service center, greeting customers with his warm smile, charismatic personality and famous handshake.

The World of Erhard stays involved in the community through numerous supportive events including hosting the "Drive for Team USA," to help raise money for our Olympic Athletes, the annual fundraising Gala for On My Own of Michigan, a group that helps mentally challenged adults, and organizing clothing and annual clothing/toy drives for Orchards Family Services.

We are proud to have a legacy and strong community that has allowed us to support metro Detroit for 50 years.
